Navigating the birth world is a full time job. Especially if you as the consumer are not privy to the intricacies of each hospital, and all you want is a safe and comfortable experience that will leave you feeling positive and like a full participant in your baby’s birth.
With more than thirteen years of birth experience and vast connections in the tight knit birth world I can help you get there. Much like a bride’s maid at your wedding, a planner, coach and executive assistant.
The Chicago Photo Doulas difference is that we are with you every step of the way. Your baby’s birth is just the beginning. Our doula services include post partum planning, post partum support and frequent check - ins in the first few weeks.

feel prepared
Most of the preparation for your baby’s birth will happen BEFORE, just like for your wedding day or any big holiday. A doula serves as a soundboard--helping to ease fears, providing information, education, and emotional and physical support so that you welcome the day your baby is born with confidence. Maggie is also a trauma informed doula and works to create a safe and welcoming environment.
personal assistant
Having a baby is hard work, not only for the birth parent but also for your partner. A doula is there for BOTH of you. Their job is to help facilitate teamwork between partners and staff. Your partner will feel much better, knowing what to anticipate. As the birth parent, you will have peace of mind knowing that you have dedicated support for the day of your baby’s birth.

No matter what birth you plan to have, it is integral to be prepared. Every family is different and no birth is exactly the same. I’m here to help you reach, with a realistic approach, the birth that fits your family. A doula’s job is to provide information and support, so that with the assistance of your medical team you feel safe and in control during this journey.
BONUS: PHOTOS
Most doulas WILL take at least some photos for you of the moment you meet your new baby. Maggie has been photographing births since 2009 and our doula packages include birth photography, AND a handful of high quality and professional phone video clips.
Maggie is not only one of the first and most experience doula - photographers but also teaches other doulas how to help their clients have beautiful photos from their day.

birth packages:
*Booking ONE person for doula support and photos will save you between $800-$2000.
It is also recommended for hospital births - with current restrictions. Some of our favorite places are: Evanston Northshore, Swedish, Prentice, West Sub and Hinsdale Hospital, we highly recommend the midwifery groups if you are hoping for a low intervention birth or a VBAC.
Doula + Birth Photography packages are booked with a $500 retainer
and include: education, discounts to classes, birth support, post partum support, breastfeeding help, unlimited talk and text, vast referral network, photos and video clips
Please inquire to start the booking process. Once your due date is secured with a $500 initial payment via check or bank transfer I will be on call for your birth. The remainder is due at 37-38 weeks and can be paid with bank transfer OR Credit Card. Custom payment plans are available.
Doula services ARE covered by most FSA/FHA accounts and some insurances will reimburse with a letter of medical necessity from your provider.
